While at BuzzFeed we were often challenged to make things go viral for emerging platforms. This video was specifically conceived for Facebook’s new video feature which had yet to feature audio on the home page. Meaning videos had to be compelling enough to immediately engage in with or without sound. The result was “Coming Out” written with as little dialogue as possible. Our experiment was a resounding success garnering over 20 million+ views on Facebook and over 16 million + views on YouTube.
